Elon Musk's Starlink broadband service to start in India from December 2022! Users will get data at a speed of 150 megabytes

Elon Musk's company SpaceX can start Starlink broadband service in India from December next year. With the arrival of this broadband service, Indian users will get high-speed data. Starlink Country Director Sanjay Bhargava has said that the number of pre-bookings in India has crossed the 5000 mark and the company is working to expand its broadband services in rural areas.

Sanjay Bhargava has said that we aim to activate 2,00,000 terminals in India by December 2022. If we don't get approval from the government, the actual number may be much less than that or even zero, but it is very unlikely that we will exceed 2,00,000.

During the beta stage, the company will take a deposit of $ 99 (about Rs 7,350) from each user and users will get data at the speed of 50 to 150 megabytes per second. At the same time, Starlink's broadband service will give tough competition to Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea.

In the pre-order note, the company has said that the Starlink service is available in many countries and it will be easier to get government approval if there are more pre-orders from India. The approval process of the Government of India is quite complex. Our approach will be that if we do not get PAN India approval for our services, we will try to get approval for the pilot project.

The Starlink note also said that we expect that we will get Indian government approval for a pilot program or a pan India project for our services in the next few months. Due to the shortage of liquid oxygen and semiconductors, the rates of Starlink kits have been affected.
