Film industry upset due to weak business of Bell Bottom, now half a dozen big films can be postponed till 2022

The box office collection of Bell Bottom's four days has disappointed the people associated with cinema. After the second wave of Corona, releasing the big-budget film Bell Bottom in theaters was undoubtedly described as a bold move, but the earnings figures were not enchanting.

The film earned Rs 13.45 crore in four days. Trade people are assuming that the film release line was expected after Bell Bottom, but now the release of more than half a dozen big films can be postponed till 2022, the people of the trade are guessing. However, after Bell Bottom, Amitabh Bachchan's Chehre is going to release on 27th August and Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi on 10th September.

Akshay Kumar is considered to be the most trusted star in terms of performance at the box office. Bell Bottom is not a very great film, but the patriotism of the thriller mixes with it. Because of this, there were high expectations from the film.

Mumbai Saga, which was released in the Corona period itself, earned 2.82 crores on the first day. Roohi earned 3.6 crores. In front of this, the collection of Bell Bottom is not up to the expectations.

There was some mistake in the distribution too

A distributor said that there were some mistakes in the distribution strategy of the film as well. The issue of distributor and exhibitor sharing was going on till the last day. The film did not get local publicity.

A large segment of Akshay Kumar is seen in the single-screen audience of small towns. Due to a lack of print publicity, the matter did not reach them.

Now doubts about big movies

Trade analyst and producer Girish Johar says that Akshay Kumar's films of this genre earn Rs 15-20 crore on the first day in normal days. The film Good Newz earned 17.56 crores at the box office on the first day.

Bell Bottom has produced less than expected results, while the film is very good. Theaters are closed in Maharashtra, which gives 30% revenue, its effect is clearly visible.

It's been a good Sunday for Bell Bottom. However, if the movies keep coming continuously, then the audience will also come to the cinema hall. Seeing the fate of Bell Bottom, there have been more doubt about the release of big films.

Earnings will increase in Tamil Nadu

Unlike the rest of the country, the Bell Bottom earnings in Tamil Nadu can be higher than expected. Theaters opened here on Monday and due to lack of Tamil content, most of the multiplexes released only bell bottom.

Tamil film critic Bharat Kumar told that all Tamil films are in post-production right now, there is also a Tamil actor in Bell Bottom. The film will benefit from this.

However, he also believes that the release of other big films will be pushed to Diwali or may even come in 2022.

Maharashtra and waiting for 100% occupancy

Film trade analyst N. Ramesh Bala told that the makers of big-budget films are also assuming that till the theaters do not open in Maharashtra and 100% occupancy is not allowed in the whole country, people also do not return to the theaters as before, till then there is no time to release the film. No Meaning.

Don't have high expectations from Chehre and Thalaivi

There in the films to be released now are coming on August 27. Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi will release on September 10. Compared to Akshay Kumar's patriotic film, nothing much is being expected from the box office collections from these two films. Bell bottom was the most important test.
